As founder members of Educate Brass Faoundation, having come from a humble background, natured and inspired by music, we were tourched by the power of music to lift and empower lives.
Our impression of seeing children happy, being educated, playing music, dancing and attain other skills , with a home, is such a lovely moment to us.
What a change! In June 2019, we started Educate Brass Foundation, and we officially registered it in 2023. Since then, things have been fairly full on despite of serious challenges. We have been able to get some old brass band instruments, teach these children brass band music.
We have been able to teach music to over 60 young children, sometimes providing them with scholastic materials, getting for them scholarships, conducting skills trainigs to communities. Irrespective of our impact sofar, it is still a puzzel for us to get more music instruments, aquiring a safe space for carrying out our activities, facilitating some of our service providers,
for the realization of our goal. For all this time, the focus has been working towards making an impact, and make our vision a reality.
SUCCESS STORIES
TRACY
Tracy. Before joining Educate Brass Foundation, Tracy was shy and lacked self-belief. She found it difficult to express herself and communicate with her friends and people around her. But now, with education and life-skills, She has the confidence to stand up for her self, and to express her feelings openly.
DANSON
My greatest victory so far was to survive my difficult life from a poor family, through the power of music.
I am aged 14 years old and i play a trumpet. I love the instrument as it produces sounds that come from my body and soul. The care being given to us here at Educate Brass Foundation, is of a great impact to us.
They help us come from harsh life in our poor backgrouds, and becoming something valuable in our lives.
During the times, more unprevilleged children are attracted by this unique project. No matter who they are, where they come from, which culture or religion they practice, once at Educate Brass Foundation everyone is welcomed and equal. Some show a condition of finding shelter at EBF.
OUR IMPACT SUMMARY
So far, we have saved more than 176 beneficiaries.
We engage our beneficiaries and the community, in skills trainings, children's rights trainings, nutrition and health camps, talents development etc.
