ABOUT US

Educate Brass Foundation, is a registered Community Based Organization, (C.B.O), we empower vulnerable village children through using music as a tool. We are located and based in Western Uganda (Sheema district).

We are currently working with 35 children direcly at our foundation and over 70 through outreaches.

Empowering these children is vital, thus our 3 core programs i.e. the Education support program,
Life skills with talents development program, and the Community empowerment program.

MISSION

To empower vulnerable children out of social isolation and discrimination through free music education.

In Uganda, nearly 3 out of every 5 children are not in school, 40% of secondary-age children don't attend school, and even more do not have the opportunity to pursue higher education.

Poverty is a principal cause. Often times, families may simply need their children to contribute to household income. In addition, the poor quality of local schools may make the benefit of education appear elusive.

At EDUCATE BRASS FOUNDATION, we believe that through music, we can transform the lives of young children, youths and communities.

EDUCATE BRASS FOUNDATION is a Community Based Organization which aggregates support and volunteer hours into a powerful force for change. Your support can take a child or 2 back to school, provide scholastic maerials, music lessons, an instrument, mentorship and life skills development.

OUR OVERALL OBJECTIVE

Our overall objective is to bring back hope of vulnerable lives, using music as a transformation tool.

THE PROBLEM

We work direcly with 35 children who lack education, have very low parental support, have food insecurity or even starvation. In the community we serve, families lack affordable basic needs, affordable technology, compared to other communities in the world. Children in the area we serve receive little to no education.

Many have been forced to go for hard labour, prostitution, at a young age, to support them selves and their families.

Reversing this situation is of paramount importance for empowering poor children's lives and the community they live in.

THE SOLUTION

Our impact reaches vulnerable young children, most of who lack access to basic needs. We have seen first-hand, how the opportunity to learn music, have had a profound and empowering impact on the lives of these individuals. For many, music is the only way to escape the difficult challanges they face on a daily basis.

More time spent together as a family means love, growth and development.

By learning music, children, and young people, make friends and spend less time in isolation, also reducing mental-health issues.
Music performances, marches, and special events encourage communities, children, and young people, to engage in sustainable growth and skills-development activities.
